AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home is an attractive full service
mortuary located in Albany, Oregon. We have been family owned and
operated since 1962. Our goal is to exceed the expectations of every
family that we serve through personal service and attention to
detail. |
AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home is a beautiful
modern facility with lots of windows and natural light providing a warm
and intimate atmosphere. The chapel can accommodate large gathering with
seating available for up to 170, and other rooms are available for
smaller more intimate groups. The Hospitality Room can accommodate up to
40 people for a light lunch buffet or a cookie reception.
The peaceful fountains at the entry of the building provide families
with a tranquil and reflective entrance to the facility, as well as a
place to gather before or after services. |
AAsum Funeral Home was
founded in 1962 by Tom & Bonnie AAsum. They purchased the land where the
current building is located and began construction on a new and modern
facility. It was the first funeral home in the state to offer a
Hospitality Room for families to use following the services, for coffee
or meals. Tom & Bonnie's desire was to provide the families of Albany
outstanding funeral service in their time of need. Their goal was to
treat every family with compassion and sincerity as if they were a
member of their own family .
In 2005 James and Kristal Dufour purchased the funeral home and renamed
it to AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home and continue on with the tradition of
outstanding funeral service that the AAsum's established.
Also in 2005 The Peace Court Fountains, located in front of the
building, were finished. The fountains provide families with a tranquil
and reflective entrance to the facility, as well as a place to gather
before or after services. |

James and Kristal Dufour are the owner operators of
AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home. James is a native Oregonian and has been a
licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer since 1994. He and Kristal both
grew up in Albany and attended schools in the community. They have 2
daughters. |
